Rylan studies medicine, fights when he needs to, and belongs to Wyrren Jadis-- her highest ranking slave and representative. Rylan is also superstitious, allergic to milk, and has a heroic death wish.
Tarren II Kanichende de Marla
King of Marla and Wyrren Jadis' uncle; Tarren is a too-loyal friend with no judge of character. He started a war by rigging a trial, and he would very much like to bully Wyrren into accusing her father of her mother's murder.
